Unreal Engine Gameplay Engineer (m/w/d)

Five of the Group's development studios in Germany and France, together with other international games developers, ensure a steady stream of new computer and video games for all modern premium platforms, such as the world-famous "Tropico" series, "Commandos" and "Railway Empire".

Responsibilities
- Work closely with Art and Design to bring ideas and new gameplay features to life
- Use Unreal Engine and master its feature set to find the best way to implement solutions
- Independently identify potential technical problems and suggest solutions
- Technically design, implement and optimize gameplay features
- Optimize code for performance, readability and take part in code reviews
- Write automated tests
Qualification
- 3+ years of engineering experience working in Unreal Engine and at least one shipped title
- Strong proficiency in C++ and Unreal Engine
- Fluent in English, with the ability to collaborate smoothly with both technical and non-technical team members
- You are self-motivated and curious: You are driven to tackle challenges head-on, always eager to learn, and take the initiative to continuously grow
- Project first attitude: You prioritize collaborative success and you focus on what is best for the project in discussions, play-testing and technical reviews
- Player centric quality: You focus on delivering feature implementations that are technically clean but foremost elevate the player gameplay experience
- Experience with the GAS Framework, CommonUI Plugin, Horde, Consoles (Xbox, PlayStation), or Functional Testing is a plus
